At the Jacksonville Beaches Lions Club, we are dedicated to serving our local community with passion, energy, and a hands-on approach. We believe that giving back should not only change lives but also bring people together.

Bowl-A-Rama

Striking out community needs, one pin at a time!

Our annual Bowl-A-Rama is one of our most anticipated and fun-filled fundraising events. It brings together local businesses, families, and friends for a lively day at the bowling alley.

The Goal: Raising vital funds to support our local community projects and vision programs.
The Experience: It's not about being a professional bowler—it's about community spirit, friendly competition, exciting raffle prizes, and lots of laughter. Every strike and every gutter ball helps us fund our next service project!

Barktoberfest

Supporting independence through the gift of service dogs.

Our annual Barktoberfest is a premier fundraising dinner and evening event hosted by the Jacksonville Beach Lions to benefit Guiding Eyes for the Blind—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Guiding Eyes provides superbly bred and trained guide and service dogs that expand horizons, helping men and women who are blind or visually impaired, as well as families of children with autism, achieve their life goals.

What to Expect: A fantastic community evening featuring a catered dinner, a cash bar, exciting raffles, and incredible entertainment.
Live Music: We love bringing people together with great tunes—our events feature popular local entertainment, such as the Matt Altman Band, to keep the energy high all night long!
Join the Cause: Held at local venues like the American Legion Post 129 in Jax Beach, this event is the perfect way to enjoy a wonderful night out with friends and neighbors while directly changing lives.

Vision Engagement & Screenings

Sight is our guiding vision. Preventing blindness is at our core.

We actively engage in the Jacksonville area to ensure that quality vision care and screenings are accessible to everyone, especially those in need. Here is how we put our vision into action:

Cooperation with EyeSpy Foundation: We proudly cooperate with EyeSpy.org, a fantastic platform dedicated to supporting the blind and low-vision community by connecting individuals with vital visual aids, educational tools, and accessible apps designed to enhance daily life.
Arlington Eye Clinic Vision Screening: Our dedicated members regularly volunteer their time at the Arlington Eye Clinic, assisting with community vision screenings to identify individuals who need glasses or medical eye care.
Vision Walk Volunteering: We lace up our sneakers and proudly volunteer at the local Vision Walk, an inspiring event that raises funds for research into treatments and cures for blinding retinal diseases.
